After years of living this life, of early mornings, muddy boots, unexpected lessons, and countless moments of grace, we're putting it all into words. "When God Plants a Farm" is coming this February, and we wanted you to be among the first to know.
This book has been growing in our hearts for a long time. Much like the seeds we plant each spring, it started small. A thought here, a reflection there. But over time, it took root and began to blossom into something we feel called to share with you.
More Than Just a Farm Story
When people visit Faithful Flock Farm, they often ask us how it all began. The answer is never simple because, truthfully, we didn't plan most of it.
We didn't wake up one day with a detailed business plan and a five-year projection. Instead, we followed a gentle nudge. A quiet calling. A sense that this land and these animals were meant to be part of our story.

"When God Plants a Farm" isn't just about chickens and crops and the daily rhythm of farm life. It's about what happens when you say yes to something bigger than yourself. It's about trust, patience, and learning to work alongside the Creator in the garden He's given you.
We wrote this book for anyone who has ever felt that tug toward a simpler life. For those who wonder what it really looks like to build something with faith as the foundation. And for the families who already know us and want to peek a little deeper into the heart behind Faithful Flock Farm.
The Themes We Explore
Every chapter of this book is rooted in real experiences from our journey. Some are joyful. Some are hard. All of them taught us something we needed to learn.
Here's a little taste of what you'll find inside:
Faith as the First Seed
Before we planted anything in the ground, we had to plant something in our hearts: trust. Trusting that God had a plan for this land. Trusting that He would provide when things got tough. Trusting that every setback was actually a setup for something better.
This book explores what it means to let faith lead, even when the path ahead is unclear.
The Patience of the Harvest
Anyone who has grown anything: whether it's tomatoes or chickens or children: knows that good things take time. We live in a world that wants everything instantly. But the farm has taught us to slow down and wait.

We share stories of seasons that didn't go as planned, of waiting longer than we wanted, and of the sweet reward that comes when you finally see the fruit of your labor.
Stewardship and Gratitude
This land isn't really ours. We're just taking care of it for a little while. That perspective changes everything about how we approach each day.
In the book, we talk about what it means to be good stewards: of the animals, the soil, the resources, and the opportunities God has given us. We also talk about gratitude, which has become one of the most important practices in our daily life.
Community and Connection
Farming can feel isolating at times, but it has also connected us to the most wonderful people. Our customers, our neighbors, fellow farmers, and friends near and far: you are all part of this story.
We wrote this book with you in mind. Because without the community that surrounds Faithful Flock Farm, none of this would be possible.
Why We Wrote This Book
Honestly? We wrote it because we felt like we were supposed to.
There were so many moments over the years when we thought, "Someone needs to hear this." Not because we have all the answers: we definitely don't. But because the lessons we've learned on this farm have changed us, and we believe they might encourage someone else too.

We also wrote it for our family. For our children and their children someday. We wanted to capture this season of life, these experiences, and the faith that has carried us through it all.
And we wrote it for anyone who has ever dreamed of a different kind of life. A life rooted in purpose, connected to the land, and grounded in something eternal.
What to Expect in February
The book is set to release in February 2025, and we're working on all the final details right now. We'll be sharing more information soon, including where you can get your copy.
If you're interested in pre-ordering or being the first to know when it's available, we'd love for you to reach out. You can contact us here or keep an eye on our farm updates page for the latest news.
We're also planning some special things around the launch: maybe a little gathering here at the farm, some signed copies, and a few surprises along the way. Stay tuned!
A Sneak Peek at the Heart Behind It
We don't want to give too much away, but here's a small glimpse into the spirit of the book.
When God Plants a Farm was born in the middle of real mud, real storms, and real prayers. It tells the story of a mama, her animals, and a little farm that doesn’t always grow the way she expects.
Winds come. Plans change. Fences fail. Chicks arrive in surprising ways. And through every moment, God is quietly at work.
The animals learn that safety doesn’t always mean comfort, that growth often comes through change, and that God’s care sometimes looks like warm straw, helping hands, or a gentle rescue at just the right moment.
At its heart, this is a story about trusting God when life feels uncertain. It reminds children and grown-ups alike that even when things aren’t perfect yet, God is still planting something good.
