It is a beautiful Saturday morning here at the farm, March 21, 2026, and the air finally feels like it is holding its breath for spring. I am currently sitting at the kitchen table, taking a quiet moment to myself before the full bustle of the day begins. There is a refreshing fruit smoothie in my hand, and the house is surprisingly still, aside from the low hum of the incubator in the corner.
We have so much to share with you all this week. It feels as though every corner of the farm is bursting with new life, or at least the promise of it. From the tiny heartbeat inside an eggshell to the new stories we are preparing to tell, the sense of stewardship we feel right now is truly overwhelming.

The Luck of the Hatch
If you follow our farm update page, you know that this past week was extra special. We intentionally timed a very specific group of eggs to begin their journey around St. Patrick's Day. Inside the incubator, we have 14 Ayam Cemani eggs and a beautiful collection of our signature green eggs.
The Ayam Cemani are always such a wonder to hatch. If you aren't familiar with them, these birds are striking because they are completely black from their feathers down to their bones. Even as tiny chicks, they look like little shadows scurrying around the brooder. We are keeping a close watch on them, and we can't wait to see these pasture raised eggs transform into the next generation of our flock.
And of course, we couldn't have a lucky hatch without those green eggs. There is something so joyful about seeing those soft, minty hues sitting in the incubator. They remind us that nature has its own way of celebrating color and diversity without any help from us. We are expecting these little ones to start pipping any moment now.
Tiny Eggs and Big Personalities
Just when we thought the incubator was full enough, we had a very special arrival this morning. Six tiny Serama eggs have officially joined the nursery. If you have ever seen a Serama egg, you know they are almost impossibly small. They look like something out of a fairy tale, but don't let their size fool you.
Seramas are known for having some of the biggest personalities in the poultry world. They are the smallest breed of chicken in existence, yet they carry themselves with such pride and posture. Adding these to our products line eventually will be such a treat for those who love unique and ethical eggs.
Raising these tiny miracles takes a lot of patience and a very steady hand. We treat every egg with the same level of care, whether it is a standard size or these little Serama treasures. It is all part of our commitment to providing the best local eggs to our community while honoring the life of every bird.

Introducing the Egg Story Collection
We have been thinking a lot about how to better connect our customers with the life of the farm. We believe that when you buy farm fresh eggs, you aren't just buying food. You are supporting a cycle of life, a specific bird, and a way of living that honors the land. That is why we are so excited to officially launch the "Egg Story Collection."
When you visit us or place an order, you might notice something new. We are beginning to include "Egg Story" tickets with our cartons, starting with Story #1. These tickets are designed to give you a little peek behind the scenes of who laid your eggs and what her life is like here at Faithful Flock Farm.
Our goal is to foster a deeper sense of connection and transparency. We want you to know the hens, understand the seasons, and feel like you are a part of our tales of faithful flock farm. It is our way of saying thank you for choosing ethical eggs and for caring about where your food comes from.
Life at the Farm and On the Page
There is more than just literal hatching happening here. We are also seeing the growth of our farm’s story through the written word. We are so proud of Mama’s book, "When God Plants a Farm," which is currently available on Amazon. It has been a labor of love, and seeing it out in the world is a miracle in its own right.
For those of you who prefer to hold a physical book in your hands while sitting on the porch, we have some great news. Paperbacks of "When God Plants a Farm" will be arriving right here at the farm on April 1. We would love for you to stop by and pick up a copy if you are in the area. You can find our location on our contact page.
But wait, the library is growing even more! We are also preparing for the release of "Trusting God through the Storm" coming this April. This new book dives into the realities of farm life, the challenges we face, and how our faith keeps us grounded when the weather of life gets a little rough. We believe it will be a source of encouragement for anyone going through their own season of waiting or trial.

The Farm Supervisors
No update would be complete without mentioning our very diligent supervisors. Milo, our white Maltese, and Panda Bear, our black-and-white Shih Tzu, have been very busy this week. They take their jobs quite seriously, even if that job mostly involves napping in the sun patches near the brooders.
Milo likes to stay close to the incubator, as if he can hear the chicks whispering inside their shells. Panda Bear prefers to patrol the perimeter, making sure every hen is exactly where she should be. They are a constant source of laughter and companionship for us, and they truly are the heart of our life at faithful flock farm.
Watching them interact with the chicks is always a lesson in gentleness. It reminds us that every creature on this farm has a role to play, no matter how small or how furry they might be. They keep us company during the long hours of farm work, and they are always the first to welcome visitors with a wagging tail.
Growing Together in Faith
As we look toward the rest of this month and into April, we are filled with gratitude. There is a specific rhythm to life here that we don't take for granted. The changing of the seasons is a constant reminder that growth takes time, and that the best things in life usually start out very small.
Whether it is the new Serama eggs or the upcoming book release, we are simply trying to be good stewards of what we have been given. We invite you to join us on this journey, whether by reading our blog, visiting the farm, or following along with the Egg Story Collection. We would love to hear from you and learn about the "tiny miracles" happening in your own lives as well.
If you have questions about our hatching process or want to know more about chicken care stewardship, please feel free to reach out. We are always happy to share what we have learned.
Thank you for being such a wonderful part of our community. We hope your Saturday is as peaceful and refreshing as a spring breeze.

He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young. : Isaiah 40:11 (KJV) 🤍
